Set of Flipped Classroom Tools & Tips for Educators

Set of Flipped Classroom Tools & Tips for Educators | Android and iPad apps for language teachers | Scoop.it
Among other pedagogies like BYOD, 1:1 and many such, Flipped Learning turns out to balancing the essence of traditional teaching intact, keeping values and human touch alive to the modern and mandatory introduction of technology in place.

Commonly explained as a pedagogical model, Flipped Classrooms are those in which the typical lecture and homework elements of a course are reversed. Short video lectures are viewed by students at home before the class session, while in-class time is devoted to exercises, projects, or discussions.

This inspiring post stikes at the heart of a teacher. First, it mentions that administrators need to encourage teachers more when using technology. Second, collaboration between teachers when using new technology alleviates some of the stress. Lastly, we teachers sometimes doubt that we can implement new technologies.

NINFA's curator insight, June 6, 2022 9:57 PM
I agree with this article one hundred percent. Teaching is hard. Shifting gears from the traditional classroom to a technology rich one creates a lot of uneasiness in teachers. It takes time for them to be comfortable with new initiatives. Teachers have to feel supported by administrators during this transition otherwise, technology becomes a burden to them. Any initiative, technology in this case, should be campus-wide so that other teachers can reinforce learning the skills required to have a successful program. Learning something new is nerve-wrecking for teachers and although technology is a great resource, the fear of failing is always greater for teachers.
Karinna Lazcano's curator insight, June 8, 2022 11:56 PM
The author of this article shared how technology was rarely used to deffirentiate learning by the learners. Like other educators, technology in the classroom entailed using smartboards and wifi.  The reasons why teachers still hesitate to use classroom in the classroom is administrators do not encourage staff to see the benefits of the use of technology in the classroom.   Another reason is that teacher do not have a strong support system.  The last reason is that teachers doublt the ability to learn and implement new instructional strategies.

Angélica Potes's curator insight, May 9, 2017 9:31 AM
Nowadays, the implementation of technology in the classroom has been an action taken by more and more teachers and institutions that has given a new era to education. Although most of the state schools can not facilitate technology in the classroom having tablets or laptops for each student, they can show different ways to shape the knowledge in a bunch of means to facilitate their learning process. Today, internet offers us a new virtual tool that is so helpful to diagram the information to learn, which eases the manner to observe the things to acquire the data in one fell swoop. This schematization is called infographics and from my point of view, it is a resourceful visual aid that permits students learn different info compiled in one only poster. Therefore, as I am a visual spatial learner (according to the multiple intelligences, Gardner) lots of people like me can use infographics to ease their learning process and boost their knowledge to the maximum.

This article is about how technology can boost student creativity. It asks for teachers to transform their teaching method. Examples they give are puzzles or a quest of their own. They also discuss the flipped class method. All of these types of technology lessons lead to student creativity.

Karinna Lazcano's curator insight, June 9, 2022 12:12 AM
Schools are not doing enough for students to use their imagination trhough creativity.  Maybe is becuase as grownups our imagination is curbed by rules, limits and theories.  Children are very creative and they have great imagination.  Teaching methods should be transformed using the technology available such as students taking pictures, making videos, and expressing their thoughts creatively with others.
Jose Manuel Garza's curator insight, May 22, 2023 4:55 PM

The advantage of using technology devices in the classroom is that it opens the doors to a vast universe of possibilities in which the student may take part and use to complete assignments and homework. The large quantity of sources available to students online, including learning applications, serve students as a springboard to their imagination and their creative tendencies to help them understand more about the world. In my classroom I incorporate the use of applications and the internet by assigning students assignments that require them to search the web and apply their creative ideas to make one-of-a-kind projects and assignments.
