IEEE CloudCom ist die führende, jährlich stattfindende Konferenz zu Cloud Computing. Hier werden die jüngsten Entwicklungen in den Bereichen „Big Data“, Sicherheit und Datenschutz diskutiert sowie andere wichtige Themen im Kontext „Cloud“. 

Beim Cloud Computing teilen sich Nutzer über das Internet Ressourcen für Rechenleistung und Datenspeicherung. Abhängig von den Bedürfnissen der Nutzer ist die Cloud sehr flexibel und bietet Zugang zu Speichermedien, Computerclustern oder anderen technischen Infrastrukturen. Für den Menschen vor dem Bildschirm und der Tastatur bleibt diese Hardware unsichtbar – versteckt wie in einer Wolke oder englisch „Cloud“.

Cloud Computing ist seit einigen Jahren das Paradigma der Computerarbeit in großen Netzwerken. Tatsächlich stecken aber viele Cloud Services noch in den Kinderschuhen. Es muss noch viel Forschung und Entwicklung geleistet werden, um große Datenmengen wirklich zuverlässig handhaben sowie Sicherheit, Datenschutz und die Kompatibilität  von klassischen Hochleistungsrechnen mit dem Cloud Computing sicherstellen zu können.

Sieben Hauptthemen rund um die „Cloud“

Mit diesen und anderen Themen rund um das Cloud Computing werden sich Experten aus zahlreichen Ländern während der Konferenz „CloudCom 2016“ vom 12. bis 15. Dezember im Parc Hotel Alvisse in Luxemburg befassen. Es handelt sich um die 8. Internationale IEEE Konferenz zu Cloud Computing-Technologie und -Forschung.

Die Konferenz bietet Veranstaltungen zu sieben Hauptthemen: Architektur von Cloud Computing-Strukturen und Virtualisierung, Cloud-Services und -Anwendungen, Internet der Dinge und Mobile Clouds, Big Data, Hochleistungsrechnen (High Performance Computing, HPC) in und mit der Cloud, Sicherheit und Datenschutz sowie verteilte Clouds, Handel und Edge Computing in der Cloud.

Luxembourg-based secure data platform vyzVoice has released its new cloud-based application infrastructure enabling customers to design and deliver application that enable them to easily access, manage and analyse their connected device data.

Entitled Chorus, the infrastructure allows users to utilise the vyzVoice end-to-end cloud infrastructure solution for data management to create high value applications. The platform includes multiple features such as custom analytics, predictive analysis, reporting, notification system enabling the users to transform raw data into valuable assets.

Information such as analytics, graphics, videos in minutes are displayed via dynamic containers called "voices" gathered into dashboards providing a tailored experience for varied users.

InterCloud has just joined the Luxembourg Commercial Internet exchange, LU-CIX, as a Gold supporting member

By joining LU-CIX’s expert pool of Gold supporting members, InterCloud also has the potential to partner with other LU-CIX community players, and subsequently broaden their offer. Hosted in five data centres, LU-CIX, the national platform for local and regional internet traffic, represents a growing community of 62 members including telecommunications, data centres, cloud service providers, etc.

"As InterCloud is expanding into new European markets, joining LU-CIX is critical to moving forward in Luxembourg where cloud usages are booming,” said Bertrand Le Saulnier, sales director Luxembourg at InterCloud.
