A 3-year PhD student position in the field of autoimmune skin blistering disease research is available from January 1st, 2013 at the Department of Dermatology, University of Luebeck, Germany.

The project is focused on dissecting the pathogenic role of IgG Fc glycosylations in the autoimmune blistering skin disease bullous pemphigoid. This study includes biochemical and immunological tools and mouse experiments. For this purpose, we seek highly motivated and qualified candidates.

The position: This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an academic setting with an international team providing expertise and support in an interdisciplinary setting. Successful candidates will get the possibility to participate the Graduate College GRK1727 “Modulation of Autoimmunity” including scientific seminars, summer schools, career development training and participation in national or international conferences.

Applicants should hold a MSc (or an equivalent degree) with a strong background in biological sciences, biochemistry, immunology or a related discipline.
